Kaustubh (Kos) Sinkar is a highly experienced software engineer with over 17 years of experience in the industry. Currently, he is serving as a Senior Software Engineering professional at Bloomberg LP. Kos has gained extensive experience working with some of the top companies in the industry, including Goldman Sachs and Qualcomm. Kos has a strong background in computer science, having completed his Master's degree in Computer Science from New York University's Polytechnic School of Engineering in 2007. Prior to that, he earned his Bachelor's degree in Electronics Engineering from the University of Mumbai in 2003. Throughout his career, Kos has been recognized for his expertise in Java, Research Science, and Android. He has also published over 15 international publications and holds four patents. During his tenure at Goldman Sachs, Kos served as the Vice President of Technology, where he was responsible for enhancing the Java-based FIX messaging gateway/engine to maintain real-time and file-based connectivity to global derivative and cash markets. He also implemented new regulatory requirements and supported the Java-based reporting engine for listed derivatives (EMIR RTS). At Qualcomm, Kos served as a Senior Engineer, where he led the development of the LTE Direct SDK for Android to encourage third-party application development. Additionally, he optimized the LTE femtocell layer-2 stack to improve throughput and developed a low-latency walkie-talkie Android application using OpenSL ES API to demonstrate LTE Direct data broadcast capabilities.
